Please come in through the main entrance door, next to the disabled parking bays. Exit from Y Shed is via the door on the car park side. Entry to the café is up the inside stairs. Exit from the café is to the rear of the café counter, out on to the mezzanine. Different exit points are available for those with pushchairs, wheelchairs, or scooters. Please ask at reception if you need a hand.
The maximum number of customers allowed in the café is 22. We have carried out a thorough risk assessment and, along with the one-way system, installed a sneeze screen at reception. Hand sanitizer pumps are placed throughout the building. The number of people visiting the retail shop at any one time is limited due to social distancing and socially distant boxes are clearly marked. Our friendly team are on hand to help you. We have been awarded the Visit Wales We’re Good to Go COVID standard so you can rest assured we are meeting Welsh Government and Public Health Wales legislation.
The Welsh Government introduced new legislation on September 11. That means, unless exempt, there is a legal obligation to wear a facemask in public spaces. At Y Shed, a face mask must be worn throughout the building. It can be removed once seated in the café. Y Shed staff are not obliged to wear a face covering in areas which cannot be accessed by visitors.
We would prefer it if anyone wishing to purchase from the retail shop would pay with card.
We have a strict daily cleaning regime in place and are cleaning throughout the day where necessary.
Please sanitize your hands using the foot pump sanitizer by the front door and then pop on your mask.
Of course, however we would ask that children are accompanied by an adult. Dogs are still welcome, too.
We are supporting the Welsh Government’s Track and Trace programme and would appreciate you leaving your details with the café. The team can collect information by form or provide you with a QR code to scan. As of 9/11/2020, the café will also need to verify your identity so you may be asked to show official ID such as a debit card or drivers’ license.
