Y Shed's Story

Y Shed holds the stories of generations. At the heart of Meliden, near Prestatyn, this old stone building has stood guardian over the village, originally serving the railway line which, for over 100 years, ran behind it. Y Shed is now a hub with café and shop, with an interactive history exhibition. It also offers creative working and exhibition spaces for local businesses and artisans.

To all our lovely customers

Given the new Government advice around Coronavirus, Caffi @ Y Shed has taken the decision, as a precaution, to temporarily close. As the café will be shut, we have decided to close the rest of the main Y Shed building too.

This decision is purely precautionary and has been taken to aid national efforts to limit the spread of the virus through social distancing.
Although we appreciate the decision may be disappointing, we are making it with everyone’s best interests at heart: our customers, suppliers, contractors and all the staff.
